Forklift Operator

Responsibilities & Duties

Forklift Operators load and unload trucks, keep records of items loaded and unloaded into the warehouse. They work collaboratively within a team to ensure that all processes are smooth and efficient.

• Completes assignments by processing and loading orders inbound and outbound.
• Off loading rail car when assigned and/or needed
• Provides quality service by following organization standards.
• Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping workstations neat.
• Ensure staging pre-orders are complete for live load carriers for loading time efficiency
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Follows all safety requirements and regulations
• Attention to order details when load is complete
• Maintains cleanliness to the trailers and clamp/forklift trucks
• Beware of surroundings when in and out of the base/aisle to prevent damage to product
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Sitting or driving – 8 hours at a time on a 12 hour shift
• Frequent lifting/carrying – 10-25lbs.
• Repetitive motion with wrist, elbow, shoulder’
