Seaside Refrigerated Transport was founded in 1972 by Lynn & Beverly Johnson. Lynn grew up in Tulare, California where he started his truck driving career. He married Beverly Gomes, his high school sweetheart and had three children. Lynn hauled hay and milk and was eventually a supervisor with a large milk company, following in the footsteps of his father. After ten years in the trucking industry Lynn and Beverly decided to start their own business, a refrigerated trucking company to service the larger San Francisco Bay Area. Lynn and Beverly purchased two used bobtail trucks, Lynn and a friend drove the trucks and Beverly worked in their Hayward office. Within two months they had added 3 more trucks, 3 more drivers and 2 dock workers.

Today Seaside has more than 40 employees and operates from a 40,000 square foot facility in Livermore, California. Since Lynn’s passing in 2012, his wife Beverly and their three children, Dianna, Denise and Allan work along side at the helm of the business.
