What began as a modest operation storing dairy and frozen products quickly grew to 3 facilities — and in 1959, the second generation of Pokels got into the business. We soon grew to five facilities across the state of Wisconsin.n 1989, the Pokel brothers split the business to form two separate operating companies in Green Bay and Darien, Wisconsin. This is also when the third generation of Pokel’s joined the business.
